Monitor primary sources
We begin with legislation, regulators, government departments, official statistics, treaty texts and other authoritative material. Secondary reporting may identify an issue, but it does not replace the underlying source.
RESEARCH STANDARD
Our method is designed to produce intelligence that is concise enough to use and transparent enough to challenge.
THE PROCESS
01
We begin with legislation, regulators, government departments, official statistics, treaty texts and other authoritative material. Secondary reporting may identify an issue, but it does not replace the underlying source.
02
We examine status, timing and the mechanism through which a development could affect costs, obligations, supply chains, market access or strategic decisions.
03
Confirmed facts, Ante Bellum assessments and conditional scenarios are distinguished. Material uncertainty is stated rather than hidden behind false precision.
04
Material claims are source-checked, the information cut-off is recorded and the publication receives an editorial review before release.
PUBLICATION CONTROLS
Publications identify their date, version and information cut-off. Quantitative and contestable claims should be traceable to stable sources. Enacted measures, proposals, consultations, forecasts and scenarios are not presented as if they have the same status.
Analysis is not legal, tax, financial or investment advice. Its role is to help a client identify material developments, frame the commercial question and decide whether specialist advice or further action is needed.
CORRECTIONS
If a factual error could change a reader’s understanding, we review it against the source record, issue a versioned correction and explain whether the assessment changes. Earlier versions are retained internally for audit.
To question a source, interpretation or correction, contact louis.kremer@antebellum.io and identify the publication, version and statement concerned.
